What are we learning in school?
All students learned "I'd Rather Be Happy" for Look for the Good week. Nice Job!
Kindergartners are working on Body control, keeping a beat, and using simple instruments to sing and play melodies. Examples of songs include:

1st and 2nd grade is working on keeping a beat as well as learning how to play simple songs on Boomwhackers and xylophones. Songs they are working on:

I Bought Me A Cat
Up The Creaky Stairs
Whacky Do- Re-Mi
3rd thru 5th grades are learning concert music for the holiday. Today they learned about the grand staff, pitches on the staff, their names and how notes tell us how long to play or sing a sound. They also learned syncopation, note values, and have played every instrument in class (except the Uke's). They are now working on dynamics and timbre, adding polished effects to our concert.
All Students are earning behavior stickers and after they fill up their card, they turn it in for a prize from Ms. Dee!!!
